Reusing an O2 sensor 200

I just had a dead O2 sensor in my son's 1984 760T. The car was running pretty bad. The O2 sensor had a steady output of about 0.54 volts. The used O2 sensor from an LH 2.4 car did a terrific job of making the car run well. No cleaning was done.
