My opinion is Volvo saved a bunch by going back to the over-axle replacement, by stocking a one-size fits all for 140-240. They figure the dealerships would not suffer the complaints, as most 240s get serviced elsewhere. I've avoided buying them, because (1) all the posts saying they clunk, and (2), I don't believe all the superior longevity claims being made for the Volvo-sold cat-back kits (warranty or not), and (3), I definitely do not want to employ 4x4 lumber to bend pipes when replacing them.
