Sounds like you already know what you need.
Here is a photo of the switch and cowling. (Ignore the plugged hole - PO had a push to start button there)
I'll try to get a photo of the bracket tomorrow.
I swapped this car from an automatic ('70) and don't remember anything unusual on the column.
