About the S/V90 S90-V90

Perhaps someone can confirm or reject this, but I thought I read that there are several safety enhancements between the 940 and 95'+ 960/S90s. The 95'+ 960s are better in frontal offset collisions because of a 'cross member' and thicker metal in the wheel wells and firewall. Also it has side airbags and a better version of whips? (sp?) How much safer overall? who knows, couldn't find any crash tests between them. Anywho, I think this maybe a starting point in differences in the safety department.
