Electrical Gremlins 700 1988

So I had something strange happen today. This is on the same '88 745T that has has an intermittent dash ground-out issue. Anyways - the dash issue happened again (dead instruments) this morning on the way to work - started working fine as I neared my office. Today when I left, car started up normally, dash working fine, but I notice that the ABS light was on - strange I thought - brake fluid level is fine. Drove around the corner then noticed no accessories were working - power mirrors, windows, AC blower, etc. Car driving fine other than the ABS light being on. I stopped, shut her down, checked fuses - none blown - and started back up. ABS error cleared, all electrical accessories work now.

I've checked the ground and positive cables on the alternator and all are tightly attached and no ground out issues in the engine bay. Any thoughts on what could cause this to happen? Any reason why it would go away with a shutdown / startup?

-Phil
