I have found a 91 740 with 140k and in apparently good condition that doesn't run. they say it's due to a probable improper alarm install. They got it from someone who got it from the people who had the alarm installed, so it's too far removed to take it back, and some of this is guesswork anyway. They know little but think it may need a harness as the simplest way to fix it without troubleshooting all connections.
I'm not so hot with electrics; thoughts?

Separately, I am looking at a 93 940 turbo with 250k, original everything except will have a new fuel pump. The long time mech for the car thinks it's ok, but the trans does have that much mileage so no guarantees of course. The car is nice but needs a drivers seat and some odds and ends. I've never had a turbo; again, thoughts?
