As I look at all of the great ideas presented here, I think I came up with a plan: I'll split the gauge shroud in half, and mount the right side of it on the right side of the dash the same distance off as the factory left side. Then, bend up a couple of matching pieces that will reach towards each other in the middle. Lastly, take another whole (empty) factory dimension shroud, and mount that on top, in the middle of the dash. Inside the center shroud goes a large speedo and tach, and the rest of the now double height dashboard is available for sound system, GPS, gauges, etc. I'll get some pictures, or at least a scale drawing on here soon. The 122 dash is so small I think it cries out for a change, hopefully for the better. In my particular situation, the added height to the dash will be no problem to see over, as I'm fairly tall at 6'3". This car is far from concourse as it is, (I rescued it from the crusher for $500.00) and they made more 130s than any other body style, so I don't feel too guilty about playing with it!
