...those "dimple markings" that Transit Wind mentions only relate to Pre-ABS 240 Front calipers.
The dimples should on the bottom of the caliper, one on each side of the inner-outer joint line.

A caliper with mismatched halves (a rebuilder's goof that can't be blamed on the seller)
will have a dimple on the top of the outer half.
