Definitely do this step first. I was planning on changing fluid on a recent acquisition and could in no way get the bolt off. I tried days of penetrant, heat, cold. No luck. I rounded the bolt with vise grips and eventually gave up.

If I ever have a leak I may fill it up through the vent tube or take the speed sensor off and fill through there. I suppose I could take the rear cover off. That is a task for another day, though.
