Compression Testing Results

Thanks for the tips guys. Too bad I read some of them only after I did the testing. But now at least I have my own procedure for doing it, so when I do it again, I'll know what's going on.

Anyway, here are the results I got. I forgot to hold the throttle open, but still they appear to be decent numbers. I plan to re-test after I finish adjusting the valves, of which 7 of 8 appear to be in the range of .013" - .014" of clearance. The sticker under the hood says the valves shold be 016 - 018" of clearance, with warm engine. Yes, I checked them with a warm engine, and I did it 3 times...

Compression numbers:
-cylinder number 1: 140 psi (w/oil in cylinder, 165)
-cylinder #2: 150 psi (w/oil in cylinder, 165)
-cylinder #3: 152 psi (w/oil in cylinder, 167)
-cylinder #4: 135 psi (w/oil in cylinder, 170)

Note these are only preliminary results and I plan to re-check after valves adjusted and timing belt done - shold be all done within a week or two I hope.

I think these numbers look ok, so far, but any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.
