I can see Phil S. built his MPPE to 11 to 1

Phil has a cam which is 308 degrees seat to seat so that lowers the dynamic compression a huge bunch.

274 degrees seat to seat is actually less than Volvo's C, D & K cams, so you can't run that much compression.

Read Elgin's campaper, it tells you exactly how much compression you can run on pump gas. It's in one of the links I gave you.
