I did the switch to synthetic, and while the engine runs quieter (even my wife noticed), it's still making that noise. Greaaaaaaaaaat.

Since, I don't see myself having the time or money anytime soon to replace that o-ring or replace valves and lifters, so I guess we're going to have to live with it.
