oxygen sensor do it yourself project 200

It's an easy job.

I recommend it be done with the exhaust cool and front end lifted and set on floor stands. Highly recommend a 6 pt O2 Sensor tool/socket (it allows an opening for the wire harness) 6 pts (vice 12) gives you a lot better bite on the O2 head. Spray it with you favorite "loosen it fluid" a few hours prior and don't be shy about giving it a good hard fast crank using a breaker bar. Use antiseize for the install (usually it is already on thew new threads or they supply a small tube.

As to the sensor itself:

- Bosch seems to have the strongest following
- Walker is not viewed nearly as well as Bosch
- 90'Ford Mustang is a cut and splice replacement for my 93 240. i don't see what year your Volvo is.

As to the wiring harness:
- Full length no crimping plug and play ($100 - $200)
- cut and crimp ($40-$50)
