Ahh, I didn't even think about the fact that they didn't get directly lubed. I guess it wouldn't hurt to drip some oil down the rods too hoping it finds its way down there. Thanks for the info. Cam, lifters and cam gear... definitely wasn't expecting those to be the problem areas.
