I am having the same symptoms, foot off the gas, engine sputters or dies. Restarts immediately, so far.
Also, the idle was at 750 or so, but sometimes would rise to 1400. Turn off ign, restart, normal idle.

I just changed the power stage, which I had been planning to do but speeded up doing when I read this. Results, mostly the same symptoms, engine stumble or quit, and a changing idle. Sometimes it is stable, sometimes it goes up to 1400. The only difference is that the idle, when it's normal, is now at 600 and very smooth.

I'm going to try the easy ones, the radio relay and then the f.p. relay. When my symptoms started it was very dry here so moisture seems not to be part of it, but we'll see.
