The copies I have are blue shaded (look ^ at the post with the photo I took of it). When I gave it to the guy and asked him to copy it, I didn't think I needed to say that I needed it in color. To me, a copy is exactly what I give the guy, and a modified copy is something you have to ask for.
So he took the document to the back room, and somebody else charge me for the work, and when I got the receipt, it said "scan B&W". I ask the guy why it said black and white because the document was obviously blue shaded, and he said nobody wants the blue shading, and black and white was the why it was meant to look. He then said, if I wanted blue shaded, it would have to be sent out and the cost of the scan would be $2.50 per sq ft ($25 total) instead of $1.00/sq ft ($10 total). I said something about the document being vintage and that's the look I wanted.
Anyway, I took the B&W electronic document, but I could go and get it rescanned in color.
Let me know.
