a compressor as nice as it is is not really all that necessary. a long piece of pipe and a 1/2 impact set will do just as well for stubborn bolts and nuts.

an oxy/act torch however is imo an absolute MUST have tool to have in your garage. for a weekend mechanic nothing larger than this set is really necessary because cutting and loosening is what you will use it for most of the time. oxy/act is SLOW for welding and not used all that much compared to mig.

try craigslist for a setup that looks like this..........cost for good used anywhere from 100-300 complete
