He may want to look into this question on a vintage Jag site. In on older Classic Motorsports magazine I was just reading about a reader with two cars which he modified as track demons. The XJ6 used three HF8's. I took note of that because of the 2" bore.

Don't know if they'd bolt right up in place of the HF6 on a Volvo 140, though

Of course the magazine is at work (Shhh!) so I can't reference the article right now.
