Well okay, but I'm not crazy about the wording... as I understand it, yes - the AAR is supposed to furnish additional air to a cold engine, but the intent is to keep cold idle speed (during a temporary high friction situation) approximately the same as warm idle speed, not to make it idle faster than when warm. As Paul says, if you set cold idle with no AAR, then you are bound to end up with higher idle when warmed up... assuming a relatively cool ambient temp. The fact that your car did not behave in this manner with the AAR disconnected would indicate there might be other problems, IMO.
