I've managed to remove "some" of the play by tightening the adjustment screw a bit. But if you try to tighten it too much, it will start to bind the steering when you crank the wheel off of center. You can try adjusting it, but keep track of how much you turn it in case you have to come back to the original spot or something close to the original spot.
