I had no idea Florida would such a pain in the arse. To be honest this could be utterly catastrophic for me. Finding a solution is an absolute necessity.
My initial thought is that they are looking at the plate on the pedal box and not the one on the firewall. The firewall VIN should have a combo of the Chassis number and the VIN.
*if* they checked that one and it is wrong, then I am utterly fsckd, I've got a valueless hunk of shat and would now be a few thousand dollars in the hole.
Here in Missouri this is not an issue. The mechanic checks the VIN upon initial inspection and that's the only time it gets reviewed.
My title only listed 6-numbers for the VIN, it has always raised eyebrows but that's what Missouri put on the title.
What does one of these out-of-state title services cost? Where can I find a reputable one?
