Hello,

Make sure they are looking at the right number.

The number on the plate screwed to the pedal box is not always right.

The actual VIN is stamped into the firewall just above the heater box inside the engine compartment on that year of 122.

Earlier 122 had the number stamped into the firewall near the heater valve.
