M46 Overdrive - changed fluid, worked for a day

Ah Hmm. Ok, I'm not talking about cleaning the filter during the overdrive rebuild - which is what I thought those tools were for.

The flecks were metallic.... but I'm not sure I could tell what color they were. I can't always get it into 1st from stopped, but none of the gears seem to slip at all.

I am talking about the strainer talked about on this page:
http://new.volvocars.com/ownersdocs/1986/1986_240/86240_03b.htm

Is there a separate drain for the OD unit? Looks like if I take off the plate with heat-sink fins on it, I can clean the filter screen easily.

thanks,
William
