Is this a really bad problem? 200 1980

Just a thought, but could the shavings be from the copper washer that seals the drain bolt? I would think that the filter would catch most everything visible. Another possibility is that the shavings were in the pan before you drained the oil. My father was shelling and eating peanuts in the garage one day and guess what I found in the oil drain pan??? It was confusing to say the least. I would go another two thousand and then maybe drain the oil through a strainer next time...
