@unspoken; not a jack at all IMO, correct to put questions in with similar. ecodes always refer to lights as far as I've seen it used. Euro lights are different, don't use 'sealed' sorts of housings. The old 7" were truly sealed, now there is a bulb that can be replaced but is fitted with a rubber gasket. ecodes don't necessarily use a seal. They are pretty protected from the elements though.
@ibs, then do you have different lights for the two cars? They do not interchange really, the grille is different, the line from the hood is different, the mounts are completely different, the angle of the lights is different.
My headlights, which I believe are the same as your 940, are always on by choice. I have changed one bulb on all my cars 7 and 9, that was used, in several years.
But I am going to put the clear part on the corner light on also when I do the swap I think. I have not yet figured the wiring out though. It is hard to find how to do it in the US, they seem to do it a lot in Sweden.
