Header pipe mounting bracket - options 200 1980

I don't use the bracket.

I've found that the area that rusts out first and thus ruins the header pipe is where the plate for the bracket is welded to the pipe. Attaching it to the bracket causes additional stress on the welds and leads to even earlier failure.

If you feel you must have the extra support for the front, you may be able to find metal straps for hanging exhaust systems that you can adapt.
