That circular hanger bolts to a stay that is attacked to the back of the transmission with the same bolts as the plate that bolts between the transmission mount and the case. It should clamp around the exhaust, and provide support at the rear end of the header pipe. I could get a picture of what I'm trying to describe if you still don't understand it.
