Simon's simply exhausted 120-130

Now that is exceptionally cool. Knowing that your car had an interesting life before you owned it stokes the imagination. Better check the back seat for telltale signs of love on the run.
I too had trouble with a Simons exhaust installation. My '69 has an auto trans from a '93 940 and the exhaust ran right into the trans cooling lines. Much work with my local muffler house to get that squared away. As well I had the floorboard clearance issue. There was enough heat being transferred to the floor that it caused some long dormant rust on the inside of the floor, treated with POR-15 a long time ago, to resurrect itself. I finally took a hammer to the floor and “tuned” it to give a bit of extra clearance. And I didn’t think much of the tailpipe hangar either, but I do love the sound, it’s increased power noticeably and I’m getting great mileage.

Cheers,
