Since the bellhousing moves relative to the car (flexible motor mounts, etc) you have GOT
to have your slave cylinder bolted to the bellhousing or engine or tranny.
If you can't find a way to do this, you will have to go back to the cable clutch.
The result of having the slave cylinder mounted separately from the tranny/bellhousing/engine
is exactly what you describe.
You can minimize it by dumping the clutch rather than trying to let it out slowly.
(Be sure you have enough engine revs to carry the load!)
