The issue with the plates is just another example of some low level bureaucrats making decisions that they are unqualified to make in the first place and too arrogant to recognize a mistake. Other friends of mine, with assorted foriegn cars, are of similar attitude but also carry the EA plates because of financial considerations. I don't get this, I have collector' s insurance that averages about $144 a year per car with zero deductible and full coverage and my taxes on the 2 cars only comes to about $75 a year on regular plates. Where is the advantage? What we need is to 1 stop paying extra for the privilege of carrying the plates and 2 leting them know why.
