Thinking about you and your lovely heater valve dilemma, I couldn’t resist delving into one of my own :)

It looks ok, but I figured I better change it well the gettin’s good. Note the Chromium VI near the screw in the middle.

I scored a heater box for kicks the other day. Good thing I did, it had a new Rancho brand heater valve.
