rusty frame a critical point? 120-130

I am also just starting on my Amazon project, but have some experience with 1800's... In any case, IMHO any weakness in a frame member MUST be addressed! If Mike or any of the other "usual suspects" done have patch panels, make one and weld it in. While you are there, do as much rust prevention as you can. My sons accuse me of over doing the rust prevention, but I figure if infernal combustion engines aren't outlawed, my grandchildren will have some cool cars to drive!!

Another thing to keep in mind, if there is rust on the right side of the car, there is probably rust on the left side - do a little exploring to prevent future problems...

By the way, if you have not seen this web site, it is great for the Amazons. Take a look through the parts catalogue and you will at least see the exploded version of what you are fixing, and how it integrates with the rest of the car.
