sorry rstarkie, i didn't see your response before i replied to aleekat. i think i hear thr pump cycle but i,m a little hard of hearing so am not sure. the tach does not move when cranking. i will check out the rsr when the weather clears. the cps is a possible culprit, but i might expect symptoms leading up to a flat out nostart. does that make sense?
