Voltage Regulator? 140-160

Your voltmeter reading of zero is bogus.
What makes you think you have a regulator problem? Is your battery going down?
If not, you should check the wiring to your voltmeter.
You should use another voltmeter and check the voltage of the system, especially
when the engine is NOT running, while cranking, right after you have started it, and after it
has run for a while.
Should be 12.6 volts when not running, slightly lower (more than 10 volts) while cranking,
right after you have started (should be about 14 volts) and after running for a while (probably slightly less, 13.5 volts)
