Here's an option for a one person bleed job.
I always take a small hose, put it on the bleeder with the opposite end in a small cup with a bit of Brake fluid in the cup. Make sure the small hose is IN the fluid. Open the Bleeder, get in the car, pump the brakes, get out and tighten bleeder. The Hose sitting in the fluid acts as a check valve.
