Compression 444-544 1963

Compression pressures vary with camshaft and of course the static compression ratio. As long as the values you achieved are even, there is nothing more to do. The actual psi on the gauge is not that important, it's the variation that is.
Start with an initial timing at idle of 10 BTDC, and advance it until the onset of pinging. Back off a few degrees from that point.
