A flat spot on take off or sluggish acceleration could be as simple as low fluid in the piston dampers--check that first.
Physically check the throttle shafts by giving them a wiggle--they shouldn't. If the shafts are worn--so are the bushings. Run the engine at idle and squirt water from a hand pumper--or carb cleaner around the shafts--if there's a vacuum leak the idle will react. Remove the upper chamber pot and then withdraw the piston with the metering needle. Check the needle for scratches or flat spots along its length--there shouldn't be any. Look straight down where the dome used to be to check the jet--that would be the inner most brass tube--the hole should look round--not oval.
In any case 180 miles on a tank is very low unless your filling at a 1/2 or 1/3 of a tank. -- Dave
