You may be using the wrong timing system 700 1990

That sounds to me like a temperature sensor for... something. Haha, sorry I don't remember exactly what it is, but I think it's a temperature sensor and a tube is supposed to run from the intake manifold, above the valve cover, and connect to the turbo-to-intercooler hose. If there's an electrical plug on it, odds are good that's it.

How big is the hose and the disconnected port? 1/4"? or 1/2"? if it's tiny, it might be the vacuum feed for the CBV- compressor bypass valve. Do you know what the cbv is?

Maybe the turbo hose and the disconnected port are the two hoses? Have you got a photo handy?

Passages.... Exhause manifold gasket - which is only between the manifold and the engine head, head gasket, valve cover gasket, maybe the spark plugs themselves are loose?
