Walter-

I always thought it was a drop in upgrade, but obviously, nobody in the '50/'60s could live without at least three ashtrays in their cars.

So, it looks like the bezel of the clock is big enough to cover the hole where the ashtray sits. So the hole for the ashstray needs to be cut larger on the top and bottom, but the sides are fine.
