I have a '71 164 with dual carbs. Can anyone tell me what the ohm range (empty to full) on the fuel sender is? I should probably replace it with the ipd part ($200) but is it a bad idea to just pop a $20 sunpro sender/gauge in its place? Has anyone else had luck replacing the factory sender/gauge with an aftermarket one?
