Ignition Question 444-544 1959

The Bosch coil should have the details stamped on the bottom. Probably 12v and a long Bosch part number. Numbers are those allocated by Bosch to OEM parts for many manufacturers so lots of different numbers on the same coil. For your Volvo it should measure 3ohms across the 2 small terminals. Possibly 2.9-3.2 but that's fine. 1.5 no good.
Quite why people want to fit experimental systems and parts to a car to get it on the road, I don't know. Unless you're a real wizard, get it up and running/driving properly with standard systems and parts before playing around with it. That way you can put the original parts back if necessary to get you back on the road.
