Restoring Virginia - Replacing Front Engine Mounts... 120-130 1967

Hi Pooch,

I did my 200 last year, I think, and did one motor mount at a time. There is so much oil leaking out of my engine, I didn't worry about rusty bolts - I had to clean them off first!

The rear mount is simple, but you are upside down, so wear goggles.

Support the tranny, loosten the center bolt in the cross member and then remove the cross member. Take the mount off, clean everything, and carefully align the bolt holes and put the cross member back on.

Use a heavy duty mount!

Thanks for the write up. I also didn't have to raise the front of the car.

Klaus
