Different heater blower problem 200 1991

It is hard to say for sure if the blower is going bad but there is excessive resistance somewhere.

Position 4 bypasses the resistor so:

Either the wiring to the resistor is toast
The resistor is toast (likely)
The switch has inexplicably failed (very unlikely)
Someone has done a weird redneck engineering fix

All of this kind of requires tracing the wiring and testing the resistor. I think Art has a tutorial on how to test it from the switch. As you trace the wiring, clean all the connections.

Personally I can live with position 4 only but most would get it fixed.
