"So, I am on the prowl for a Snap-on 9-11mm wrench on ebay"
Hi Mike,
Based on my experience over several years, you can widen your search to include the Snap-On 3/8"-7/16". The one I use was my Dad's, and dates from the 1940's.
Sometimes tapping the shank with a hammer while applying "hand torque" on the end will do the trick. Wicking in wax from a birthday candle after a few seconds of Propane or Mapp torching is also worth a try.
