You can do three windshields with a 5 oz. tube.

It comes with a tip you can (fairly) easily insert under the seal after it's installed.

I have not personally put the trim on before installing the windshield, although I have been told that it's easier. I have been able to install trim with the windshield on the car, although it's fussy.
