Good 'fix'. But I still cannot find anything wrong with the wires that use that fuse. I did find that my coil wire lost some insulation where someone had cut the cable to route the wire to the 'new' coil. If the coil wire grounded to the sheathing, would that cause the 25 amp to pop?
I am still thinking that the melted cigar lighter caused the problem, but there are no burned wires. When the melting occured, I could hear the electrons trying to escape somewhere close to the ignition switch, but my old ears have been known to loose directional capability.
If I 'bridge' fuse 1 with a test light, it will take a long time to disconnect all of the devices. So, I guess I better get started.
