As Matt said, it is a very straightforward standalone system.
I removed the A/C on my '72 145. I like the way it cleaned up things. And I can live without A/C here in CT.

Have replacement parts for the switch if your interested. From what remember, the only thing you're missing is a glovebox and maybe the bracketry. You can plug off the holes on the drop-down panel, or replace it altogether.
