I believe most bulb warning failures relays are the same, but?

I'm currently attempting to install a spare 91 240 relay into a 94 940. Just doesn't want to fit in the socket. The only difference is that there is an addition catch on the 240 relay that seams to be in the way of installing it in the 940. Do I need to remove just what is extending out of the relay or is the entire catch going inside the relay in the way.
