Simple math ... 200 1980

The ratio between the crank and the cam gear is 2:1, same for the crank to intermediate shaft. One simply counts the teeth on each, and then divides one into the other. That's it. It is done the same for differential and transmission gear ratios, never by diameter, ever.
In a four stroke cycle engine the cylinder requires only one valve event in two revolutions of the crank, hence the camshaft is driven at half speed to the crankshaft.
