very rare no start situation solved.

Hi John.
that is the feed line coming from the intank pump(rubber hose removed) going towards the main pump.
a larger pic would clearly point that out. bottom line is return and top seems to be a vent.
Swapping the unit out in a wagon is nicer than the sedan as im sure you know.
once the trap door is off i can have the unit out and back in within 15-20 minutes. A flashlight and a piece of string really helps when stuffing it back in there.
Probably did around 10 volvo intank pumps but not looking forward to any more.
